Minutes were read and approved as amended. Motion made by Vic Domzalski. Seconded by Melissa Boyd. Motion carried. Treasurer’s report was presented by Earle Hammond. Checking account balance of $1,708.97 Building Fund Balance of $5,279.82. Savings Account balance of $3,963.88. Motion to move $2,000 from the checking account to Building Fund account made by Earle Hammond, seconded by Melissa Boyd. Motion passed. President Damon Smith reported that he has been unable to contact anyone to talk to about the telephone covers. The Membership report was given by Gary Neely. Fifty-six members have not renewed at this time. Harold Dunning volunteered to make phone calls to these members. Ad for the Fireworks has been placed in The Index. The answering machine still not working right. SPORTS SHOWS Earle asked that the stipends given for the shows be raised from $50 a day per person (2) be raised to $75. Jim McCarty moved that the amount be raised to $100. Don Thrall seconded. After discussion the motion was withdrawn. Melissa Boyd moved that the stipend be raised to $75/day/person not to exceed two people. Jeannie McCubbin seconded. Motion passed. WEBSITE & IT Earle Hammond was directed to replace the office answering machine. Vince reported that the website had 24,713 visitors in May and 15,000 so far this month. The Calendar receiver 34% of the visits. The Business directory came in second at 5% followed by the Vacation Guide and Fishing information/pictures. The top referrals came from NAPA, Clear Light Inn, the Index, Pomme Muskies Guide Service and various resorts. The website is up-to-date. FALL FESTIVAL Melissa Boyd reported that she has received 5 to 6 reservations so far. PROMOTIONS The Lucas Oil Speedway 50/50 brought in $441 for the Fireworks. T The Lions Club donated $500 for the Fireworks. Earle reported that the cost for the Krazy Kats band for the February promotion is $600. We should charge $25 for the dinner/show. VACATION GUIDE Only one bid for coalition of the Vacation Guide came in. Melissa moved to award the contract. Seconded by. Motion approved. KIDS FISHING DAY The ad for the event did not get placed in the newspaper, but the information did go out to the schools. The event was not well attended this year. Earle stated that he would like to go at least one more year on this event. After discussion Harold moved to discontinue the event. Greg Becker seconded. Motion approved. Damon directed that the left over supplies be given to the State Park for their program. FIREWORKS OVER THE WATER. Jim reported that everything is in place and ready for the show. He asked for funds to pay for the Porta-pots. Earle moved to pay the $360 to $440 needed for them. Seconded by Greg Becker. Motion carried. 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION City Council has given permission to put up a banner to celebrate the event. T-shirts are to be made up and sold to help fund the event. Event Sponsors of at least $25, $50 and $100 will be listed on the backs of the shirts. Earle was directed to write the check for $1000 to be deposited in the new account for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. TABLED ITEMS Tabled items will be revisited at a later date. Earle moved that the Chamber donate $100 to the Back to School Project. Melissa seconded. Motion carried. Melissa moved to adjourn at 9:04 p.m. Nancy seconded. Motion carried Mabel Davis
