Minutes were read and approved as amended. Motion by Vic Domzalski, Second by Jeannie McCubbin. Motion carried. Treasurer’s report was presented by Earle Hammond. Checking account balance of $19.391.62. Building Fund Balance of $7.324.46 and Savings Account balance of $5,711.99. The report was filed for Audit. SPORTS SHOWS Earle reported that he was looking for a CD player with a flat screen to set up in the booths so visitors could see videos of the Lake area. He is also looking into the Springfield Sports Show. WEB SITE & IT Vince reported that he was re-downloading the website on his computer, but it should have no effect on the on-line site. 2012 VACATION GUIDE It has been sent to the printer. They are already editing the pages from the Index to page 19. PROMOTIONS & FUND RAISING Earle reported on the Dinner Dance to be held on February 18 at the McCarty Senior Center will feature the Krazy Kats Band. The doors will open at 6 p.m. with the dinner served at 6:30. All proceeds from the show will go to the Fireworks Fund. HICKORY COUNTY FOOD PANTRY Ginger Hammond, Treasurer, from Hickory County Cares reported that they have pledges in place to support the not-for-profit group’s operating funds. They need donations to purchase food. Although they have enough food for the next three months they will need funds to purchase food for the remainder of the year. DINNER MEETING Nancy Sisson has letters going out to all Chamber members. The Dinner Meeting is Monday, December 12 at the Hermitage Christian Health Care Center at 6 p.m. They will be serving a Holiday turkey Dinner with all the goodies and pumpkin pie for dessert. The cost for the Dinner is $5. Donations will be taken for Meals on Wheels as we have done in the past. Please contact Nancy Sisson at 417-852-4575 or Gary Neely at gneely@centurytlel.net by November 30th for reservations. TABLED ITEMS Business of the Year to remain tabled. Benches for the walking trail was removed from the tabled items. The Budget was discussed but remains tabled for another month. OTHER Perry Wells suggested that the Chamber consider setting up booths at area RV Shows. President Damon Smith asked him to bring more information about these shows to the next meeting. Vic Domzalski moved that the present members, Earle Hammond, Jim McCarty and Gary Neely, be retained on the Board. Jeannie McCubbin seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mabel moved that Gary Neely and Earle Hammond be re-elected as Vice President and Treasurer and the Vince Sala assume the Chamber Secretary duties. Jeannie McCubbin seconded the motion. Motion carried. The President’s position remains vacant at this time.
